Classes to compliment your regular acro training

Focus on a certain skill or aspect of acro
Classes are ALL season long
Add the class at any part of the season
Locked into class all season after you commit to class. If you feel like your dancer is outgrowing the class because they have achieved their goal please email and we can discuss options for going forward.
Prices:
$15 Registration Fee
30 min class - $45/month
*If you are in a Rec, Pre-Comp, or Performance Team Class you get a discount and the class is $20/month
45 min class - $50/month
*If you are in Rec, Pre-Comp, or Performance Team Class you get a discount and the class is $25/month
Flexibility Classes:
Ages 8 & up 30 min class
Alixa Flexibility Class focuses on stretching and working on gaining more flexibility.
*Mandatory for Performance Teams
Strength Classes:
Ages 7 & up 30 min class
Focuses on gaining more strength. Strength is important to acro training because you need to be strong to be upside down!
*Mandatory for Performance Team, Encouraged for ALL acrodancers.
Learn to Walkover:
Ages 6 & up 30 min class
*No Experience Necessary
Learn all the required skills for front and back walkovers. Handstands, down to bridge, kicking over, handstand to bridge, bridge recover, and more!
Side & Front Aerial Drills and Skills:
Ages 8 & up 45 min class
*Must be able to complete a 1 hand cartwheel, or 1 hand front walkover, AND have the ability to hold wall sit for 1 min
Work towards attaining your side and/or front aerials. This class will focus on one or both of these skills while working through the progressions and gaining the self-confidence to accomplish these amazing skills!
Walkover Variations & Front Handsprings:
Ages 8 & up 45 min class
*Must be able to complete Front and Back Walkover
Learn different walkover variations for Front and Back Walkovers like switch, 1 hand, back limber, to a split, different leg variations, into a scorpion, arabesque, as well as power variations like POP, flying, and front handsprings!
Back Tumbling Drills & Skills:
Class will include drills for Back Handsprings, Back Tucks, Back Layouts
Ages 9 & up 45 min class
*Must be able to complete a Roundoff, Back Walkover, and have the ability to hold Plank position for 1 minute
Work on gaining the strength and self confidence to be able to accomplish back tumbling!
Attire for Classes:
Female Identifying: Any colour bodysuit, or half top, dance shorts or leggings, with convertible or stirrup tights if desired. No Sweatpants or baggy shirts, etc.
Male Identifying: T shirt and shorts (tighter fitting)
Hair: Must be in Braids, Ponytail, or Bun (messy bun is fine if it is tight enough that it won’t come out when doing tricks).
